The Duchess (?) is not having a go at the Queen personally but what the Royals call 'tradition' and what I would call a deliberate humiliation (curtsey or bow) to force you to concede that these people are superior beings even if you are the democratically elected (chance would be a fine thing) Prime Minister of this Country. You have to bow at the new guy as well!
