It is a balancing act, the non blackmailed Royals (however few or many there are now) do not want to damage the reputation of the Tory party so they don't need to give too many seats to Blair's chum in the upcoming (presumably fixed) local elections but they want to damage the Baffoon as much as possible so they can get shot of the clown soon after the elections.
