I am not going to comment on the latest 'accused but not convicted' Libel Trap attempt as I am far too busy yaaawwning! However in general MP's (or First Ministers) do not get arrested unless like Archer you wind up a Battenburg as it brings the house of Commons into disrepute and erodes public trust in MP's ability to make laws on their behalf, in normal times they are usually dealt with internally out of the public glare but these are NOT normal times.
