The UN was set up after WW2 to ensure that never again can someone like Hitler (and NetinYeeeha and Putin) invade a sovereign Country without repercussions from the international community, but because the greedy, selfish victors in WW2 set the rules upon which UN operates and in particular, giving themselves and each other the right of Veto, the UN has become an impotent talking shop. The Palestine state conundrum should have been settled long ago and in the current situation, there should be a UN no fly zone imposed over Gaza and Lebanon to force these warmongers to the negotiating table.
